Maimana kilims are a particular type of Oriental rugs that are woven without a pile, manufactured by nomads in Afghanistan. They have geometric patterns and are rich in colours especially dark colours such as red, black, orange and blue. These rugs have often no back or front surface and they can be used on both sides.
