The Steps Involved
Step 1
DESIGN - Begin by telling us what inspires you. Whether it’s a sketch, a photo, or simply an idea in your mind, we’ll work with you to translate it into a rug design that reflects your style OR select from our exclusive collection of bespoke patterns or create something completely unique. We’ll guide you through options that best suit your space and taste
Step 2
COLOUR - With over 1,900 shades in Wool and 640 in Silk to choose from, you can match your rug perfectly to your interiors. Our design team will help you create the perfect colour palette for a harmonious finish
Step 3
WEAVING - Before weaving begins, we provide a CAD design so you can see and double-check that you are happy with the design. This ensures every detail is exactly as you imagined. Our skilled artisans then handweave or handtuft your rug with meticulous attention to detail, using traditional techniques that guarantee beauty and durability
Step 4
WASHING - Once your rug is woven, it undergoes a traditional washing process to bring out its full beauty. Each rug is carefully hand-washed by skilled artisans using water and natural methods to soften the fibres, enhance the colours, and give the pile a rich, lustrous finish. This washing also helps remove any weaving residues and ensures the rug settles into its final texture
Step 5
FINALE - After washing, the rug is stretched and dried naturally to maintain its shape. Finally, it is hand finished — edges bound, surfaces sheared or carved if required, and every detail refined — before a final quality inspection. This process ensures your rug not only looks stunning but also feels luxurious underfoot.
Step 6
IN SITU - We carefully pack and deliver your finished rug to your door, or you can collect it from our store. You’ll receive simple care guidance to keep it looking beautiful for years to come.
